HomeThis version of the Money Laundering multimedia was developed with the assistance of two building societies. The scenarios include over the counter, postal and telephone transactions:
- an attempt at Advanced Fee Fraud
- a self-employed builder making mortgage repayments in cash
- a Muslim educational foundation wishing to open an account
- a teenager making two deposits totalling £1500
- a market trader whose deposits triple in one week
- a customer carrying three passbooks, at least one of which is not his
- a customer who makes a series of deposits into a newly opened high interest account, which he then closes just within the cooling off period
- a customer wishing to pay off a large mortgage with an inheritance
The multimedia also contains a quiz and a Powerpoint presentation to allow it to be used in conjunction with a live anti-money laundering course. It is currently available only as a CD-ROM, but an intranet version can be created to order
